How we rate Kenyan online casinos
This page describes exactly what we check, where we check it, and what we will not print. It is deliberately narrower than most affiliate methodology pages, because we would rather publish a short list of verifiable facts than a long list of scores nobody can audit.
The evidence we actually have
Every operator on this site is assessed against material published by the operator itself. In practice that means three things, and only three:
- The BCLB licence number, read off the operator’s own website. If we cannot find it there, we print “Licence number not verified” and link to the operator’s site so you can look for yourself. We never repeat a licence number sourced from another comparison site.
- The published bonus wording, taken from the operator’s promotions page: the percentage, the cap, the turnover multiplier, the qualifying odds and the expiry. Where an operator advertises an offer without publishing one of those, we say so rather than fill the gap.
- The stated limits and terms, including daily withdrawal ceilings, cashback percentages and the conditions attached to them, payment rails and support channels.
Each review carries the date we last performed that check. Where an operator’s site was unreachable on the day we checked, the review says so and the affected fields stay blank.
What we do not publish
We do not publish a measured odds margin, an overround figure or a payout-speed ranking for any operator, because we have not run studies of that kind and will not present estimates as measurements. Earlier versions of this site carried a “240-market sample” methodology and timed withdrawal claims. Those have been removed. Where a review comments on pricing or market depth, it is describing what is visible on the operator’s board, and it says so.
We also do not publish a figure an operator has not published. An unstated bonus cap is shown as not published, not as an estimate.
The trust tiers
The tier summarises verification and operating record, not price.
Highly Trusted
A BCLB licence number we verified on the operator’s own site, a multi-year operating record in Kenya, published and stable terms, and working responsible-gambling controls.
Highly Trusted (New)
Meets every Highly Trusted criterion on the evidence available, but has under two years of trading history in Kenya, so the long-run record does not yet exist. The tag is a disclosure of what we cannot know. Wezabet currently carries it.
Trusted
Licensed and operating, but with at least one disclosure gap: a licence number we could not verify on the operator’s own site, promotional terms published without figures, or a site that would not load during our check. These operators remain listed and reviewed, and the gap is stated on the review page.
An operator that has stopped serving Kenya is removed from the ranking, the comparison table and every affiliate link. Its review stays online as a status page, because people searching for it deserve to know.
How the ordering is built
The ranked list weights four things, all of them checkable:
- Verification — how much of what the operator claims we could confirm on its own site.
- Published bonus terms — not the headline, but the multiplier, the cap and the qualifying conditions.
- Stated withdrawal limits — the daily ceiling the operator itself publishes.
- Standing loyalty value — cashback and rebates that pay in real balance, and the conditions gating them.
Trust tier acts as a gate rather than a weight: an operator whose licence number we could not verify does not lead the ranking, however attractive its terms look.
What does not affect a rating
Commission rate, advertising spend, sponsorship of Kenyan sport, brand recognition, and any request from an operator. We earn commission on every operator we list, and Wezabet is a featured partner; the licence numbers, bonus terms and limits we publish are factual and checkable against each operator’s own site regardless. Our funding model is set out on the about page.
Re-checking schedule
Licence numbers, bonus terms and withdrawal ceilings are re-checked against the operators’ live pages, and every review shows the date of its last check. The most recent full sweep was completed on 9 September 2026 and corrected a number of figures this site had previously published. This page was last revised on 2026-09-09.
