Featured partner: why Wezabet takes first place

“Wezabet is the only operator on this page that the BCLB has licensed twice — 0001282 and 0001283, held by Games Dreams Technologies LTD — which is why its sportsbook and its casino both stand on their own paperwork. On terms, its cashback of up to 20% of net losses is the highest standing offer in Kenya, matched only by Betnare's weekly version, which entry-tier members cannot reach at all. Wezabet's is the only one credited every day and the only one with no tier to climb. The Football 300% Ultra Bonus is the largest accumulator boost anyone here advertises, and it is the single operator running its own Aviator jackpot next to a proper crash-games section. My reservation is age, not conduct: it launched in 2024.”

Kenyan online casino FAQ

Are online casinos legal in Kenya?
Yes. Online casino and sportsbook operators may legally accept Kenyan players when they hold a public gaming licence issued by the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) under the Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act. Where an operator publishes its BCLB licence number on its own site, we quote it in full on the review page; where we could not find one during our check on 9 September 2026, we say “Licence number not verified” instead of printing a figure we cannot source. Licensed operators must be registered locally, withhold the 20% excise duty on stakes and the 20% withholding tax on winnings, and honour the 18+ age limit. Playing at an unlicensed offshore site is not a criminal offence for the player, but you lose every practical protection: no BCLB complaints route, no guaranteed M-Pesa payout rail, and no recourse if a withdrawal is voided.
What is the best online casino in Kenya?
On our current scoring, Wezabet ranks first, and it is our featured partner. It is the only operator on this list holding two BCLB licences (0001282 and 0001283, issued to Games Dreams Technologies LTD), it pays up to 20% cashback on net losses every day rather than weekly or monthly, and its Football 300% Ultra Bonus is the largest accumulator boost advertised in the Kenyan market. It also runs its own Aviator Kigongi Jackpot and a dedicated crash-games category backed by Evolution, Playtech, Novomatic and Hacksaw. Betika and SportPesa follow on the strength of scale, payout reliability and local support. 'Best' still depends on what you optimise for: SportPesa for live-market depth, Betway for the highest single-day withdrawal ceiling at Ksh 1,500,000, and 22Bet or Melbet for the lowest published turnover multiplier at 5x. Note that we could not verify Betika's, SportPesa's or Betway's licence numbers on their own sites.
How do I deposit money at Kenyan online casinos?
M-Pesa is the default rail at every operator we list. You either use the Safaricom Paybill number the casino publishes, entering your account ID as the account reference, or you trigger an STK push from inside the casino account page and approve the prompt on your handset. Deposits clear in under a minute and the minimum is typically Ksh 20 to Ksh 50. Airtel Money is supported at most operators, and a smaller number accept Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. Always deposit from the phone number registered to your casino account — a mismatch is the single most common reason a first withdrawal gets held for manual review.
What are the withdrawal limits?
Limits are set per operator and per day, not per transaction. Across our rankings the daily ceiling runs from Ksh 300,000 at Bangbet to Ksh 1,500,000 at Betway, with Betika at Ksh 1,000,000 and most of the field at Ksh 500,000 to Ksh 800,000. Minimum withdrawals are usually Ksh 50 to Ksh 100. Separate from the operator's own cap, M-Pesa applies its own transaction and daily wallet limits, so very large payouts are often split across several transfers or paid by bank transfer instead.
How long do withdrawals take?
A verified account withdrawing to M-Pesa is normally paid within one to fifteen minutes, because the request is processed automatically against your registered number. First withdrawals, withdrawals from an account that has just cleared a bonus, and amounts near the daily ceiling are routed to manual review and typically settle within two to twenty-four hours. Bank transfers take one to three working days. If a payout is still pending after 24 hours, ask the operator in writing for the reason and keep the reference number — that record is what the BCLB complaints process runs on.
What is a casino bonus turnover requirement?
Turnover — also called a wagering or rollover requirement — is the number of times you must stake the bonus before the balance converts to withdrawable cash. A 10x turnover on a Ksh 10,000 bonus means Ksh 100,000 of qualifying stakes. The multiplier is only half the story: check whether it applies to the bonus alone or to bonus plus deposit, what minimum odds count towards it, which games contribute at less than 100%, and how many days you have. A 5x requirement on bonus plus deposit at odds of 3.00 or higher can be harder to clear than a 10x requirement on the bonus alone.
Do I need to verify my account?
Yes. Kenyan licensees operate under know-your-customer obligations, so you will be asked for your national ID or passport, a selfie or liveness check, and confirmation that the M-Pesa number matches the registered account name. Some operators also request proof of address for high-value accounts. Verification is usually triggered at first withdrawal rather than at signup. Completing it immediately after you register is the cheapest way to avoid a payout delay later, and it is also how the operator enforces the 18+ rule.
What is a VIP program?
A VIP or loyalty program converts sustained turnover into ongoing value: weekly or monthly cashback on net losses, higher daily withdrawal ceilings, faster manual payout review, reload bonuses with lower turnover, and a named account manager. Wezabet's up-to-20% cashback on net losses, paid daily, is the most valuable standing loyalty term in the Kenyan market; Betnare advertises up to 20% weekly but only once you clear its tier gate, and MozzartBet publishes 5%. Betika publishes no standing cashback. Treat a VIP tier as a discount on losses rather than as a reason to raise your stakes — the maths only works in your favour if your play level would have been the same anyway.
